Dan Sokoto Submits Letter of Intent for Kwara Assembly Race

Hon. Ridwan Dan Sokoto, Chief Executive Officer of Dan Sokoto Motors, has formally submitted his letter of intention to contest for the Afon Constituency seat in the Peoples Democratic Party primary ahead of the 2027 general elections in Kwara State.
The submission took place at the PDP Kwara Central Senatorial Office in Ilorin, where the letter was received by the Senatorial Chairman, Alhaji Isiaq Tunde Owolabi, in the presence of the Senatorial Woman Leader.
Party stakeholders and supporters who attended the event included Hon. Isiaka Magaji, Hon. Hameed Afeez, the PDP Asa Local Government Woman Leader Abdulkadir Musilimat, ward chairmen, and youth leaders from across Afon Constituency.
Speaking during the ceremony, Owolabi described Dan Sokoto as “a blessing to Kwara State, Asa Local Government, Afon Constituency, and Nigeria at large.”
He commended the aspirant’s loyalty to the party and commitment to grassroots development, saying his contributions had strengthened the PDP in the area.
Also speaking, Hon. Isiaka Magaji described Dan Sokoto as “a true grassroots youth leader” and expressed optimism about the party’s chances in the next election cycle.
“With dedicated aspirants like him on the ballot, the PDP will win the coming elections in Kwara State,” Magaji said.
In his remarks, Dan Sokoto thanked the party leadership and stakeholders for their support and confidence in his aspiration.
He pledged to pursue purposeful representation if elected, with a focus on youth empowerment, job creation, and community development.
“I appreciate the support of our leaders and members. My mission is to serve the people of Afon Constituency through policies and programmes that will improve lives and create opportunities for our youths,” he said.
