Tinubu Sweeps Kebbi APC Direct Primaries as Gov. Nasir Idris Leads Grassroots Mobilisation Across Wards

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Direct Presidential Primary Election conducted across the 225 wards in the 21 Local Government Areas of Kebbi State ended successfully, with overwhelming support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who emerged victorious in the exercise.
Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, alongside the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, and former Governor, Ambassador Sa’idu Usman Dakingari, led mobilisation and monitoring activities in various wards to ensure the peaceful and successful conduct of the primary election.
At Nassarawa II Ward in Birnin Kebbi Local Government Area, APC supporters turned out massively to participate in the exercise, where President Bola Ahmed Tinubu secured a total of 5,652 votes, demonstrating the overwhelming confidence and support he enjoys in the Governor’s ward.
Speaking during the exercise, the Kebbi State APC Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Kana-Zuru, commended party members and supporters for their steadfast commitment and loyalty to the APC leadership at both the state and national levels.
He noted that the large turnout recorded during the exercise reflected the unity and strength of the APC in Kebbi State, adding that the people remained resolute in their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Nasir Idris.
Governor Nasir Idris, while addressing party supporters at Nassarawa II Ward, appreciated APC members for the show of love, unity, and solidarity demonstrated toward the party and President Tinubu.
The Governor described the support received during the direct primary election as unprecedented and assured party members that his administration would continue to work tirelessly to deliver more democratic dividends to the people of Kebbi State.
Governor Idris and his entourage also visited Magajin Rafi Bello Secondary School in Nassarawa I Ward before proceeding to Kokani South Ward in Argungu Local Government Area, where party supporters gathered in large numbers for the exercise.
At Kokani South Ward, the APC Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Kana-Zuru, announced that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu secured 2,500 votes in the ward, while Argungu Local Government Area recorded a total of 25,525 votes for the President during the primary election.
In his remarks, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu expressed appreciation to the people of Argungu and the APC family across Kebbi State for their loyalty and steadfast support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Nasir Idris.
He noted that the outcome of the exercise reflected the confidence reposed in the APC leadership by the people.
The Minister further commended Governor Nasir Idris for sustaining unity within the party and for providing purposeful leadership that continues to strengthen the APC across Kebbi State.
