A governorship aspirant on the platform of the Labour Party in Imo State, Hon. Ifeanyi Thaddaus Ezeagu, has presented himself as a candidate driven by resilience, competence and a vision to reposition the state for sustainable development.

Ezeagu, who hails from Ogboo-Akwu in Akokwa Town, Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo State, said his life journey from humble beginnings has shaped his commitment to selfless leadership and service.

Born to the late Mr. Okwudiri Alphansus Ezeagu and the late Mrs. Adanna Victoria Ezeagu, he said he overcame difficult family circumstances through hard work, discipline and an unwavering commitment to education.

According to his profile, Ezeagu completed his primary and secondary education before earning a Diploma in English and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
Beyond academics, he has built a career in business as the Managing Director of Ifeanyi Health Pharmaceutical Ltd.

He is also no stranger to politics, having served as the Obi/Datti Presidential Campaign Coordinator during the 2023 general elections and Chairman of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Rally for Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara states.

Supporters of the aspirant described him as a grassroots politician with a track record of mobilising people and promoting the ideals of good governance.

They expressed confidence that his experience in business, political organisation and public engagement would position him to provide purposeful leadership if elected governor of Imo State.

Ezeagu has pledged to prioritise economic development, youth empowerment, quality healthcare, education and transparent governance, saying Imo deserves leadership that places the welfare of the people above personal interests.

His declaration adds to the growing list of aspirants seeking the Labour Party’s governorship ticket ahead of the next governorship election in Imo State.
