Tragedy: Bandits allegedly kill five people in Sokoto LGA, rustle livestock

Tragedy was said to have struck at around 3:00 PM on Monday, when some suspected bandits were said to have blocked the Rabah to Maikujera road , 3kms away from Rabah town, Headquarters of Rabah Local Government Area of Sokoto.
It was also gathered that the hoodlums were said to have opened fire on some people who were traveling.
Credible sources confirmed that so far, the deaths of five people have been confirmed as a result of the attack.
Two of them were from Angamba village, two others were from Tofa.town, and one person was from Rabah town itself, all in Rabah LGA.
Rabah town is the home town of the late Premier of Northern Nigeria, Sir Ahmadu Bello, Sardaunan Sokoto.
In the same vein, several victims of the dastardly attack are reportedly receiving emergency treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
The bandits were also said to have successfully rustled some cattle and other livestock during the fatal operation before fleeing into the adjoining forest.
The spokesperson of the Sokoto State Police Command, DSP Ahmed Rufai, who confirmed the story, said: “The DPO of the Area has reported the incident to the command.”
