Niger students pledge support for Ndarani’s Senatorial aspiration

Minna – Youths and leaders of various students’ union bodies in Niger South Senatorial District have pledged their sustained loyalty and unwavering support for the senatorial aspiration of Barr. Mohammed Ndarani, SAN.

The students expressed their position during a meeting held at De-Peacock Hotel in Minna on Wednesday

They assured Ndarani that students at all levels across the district would continue to support his aspiration to represent the zone in the Senate.

They described Ndarani as a committed philanthropist and education-friendly personality whose interventions had positively impacted the lives of many students, particularly those from less privileged backgrounds.

According to them, Ndarani has consistently placed the welfare and educational advancement of students above personal considerations through the provision of scholarships and other forms of assistance.

They said his interventions had enabled many students to pursue their academic ambitions, noting that his passion for education and human capital development has earned him the confidence and loyalty of the students.

The students pledged to continue to mobilise their colleagues and other youths across Niger South to support Ndarani, saying his record of service had demonstrated that he possessed the capacity, compassion and commitment required to represent the zone effectively.

The Convener of the programme, Comrade Mohammed Ganako from Agaie, had earlier said he had never met Ndarani before seeking his assistance but was introduced to him through a friend.

Ganako said that after communicating his educational needs to Ndarani, the philanthropist promised to sponsor him to study Law at Newgate University, Minna, a commitment he said had already been fulfilled.

He disclosed that Ndarani had paid more than N750,000 for his registration, enabling him to commence his Law programme at the institution.

“I never met Barr. Ndarani before. I only spoke with him through a friend, and when I told him about my ambition to study Law, he promised to sponsor me.

“He has fulfilled that promise by paying over N750,000 for my registration at Newgate University, Minna. I am here today because of his intervention,” Ganako said.

He described Ndarani’s gesture as a demonstration of genuine commitment to the future of young people, stressing that the senatorial aspirant has shown that education remained one of the strongest instruments for transforming society.

Ganako said Ndarani’s assistance should not be viewed merely as financial support, but as an investment in the future of Niger State, noting that beneficiaries would in turn contribute positively to the development of their communities.

Also speaking, Alhaji Zubairu Aliyu from Lapai, who serves as the Sarkin Yaki for Ndarani, commended the legal practitioner for his philanthropic activities and sustained efforts to improve the living conditions of people across Niger South.

Aliyu said Ndarani had touched numerous lives through the provision of social amenities, including boreholes, as well as the renovation and construction of schools across the zone.

He also commended him for supporting students through scholarships and other educational interventions, describing the initiatives as evidence of a leader who understood the needs of the people.

He urged the people of Niger South to support individuals with proven records of service, saying political representation should be based on competence, integrity, capacity and demonstrated commitment to the welfare of the people.

Aliyu appealed to Gov. Mohammed Umaru-Bago and the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to consider Ndarani for a national assignment.

He described Ndarani as a patriot filled passion for development, adding that his track record of philanthropy and community development has already demonstrated his capacity to deliver greater dividends.

In his remarks, Hon. Alhaji Umaru-Bago Sanda described Ndarani as “God-sent” to Niger South, saying his interventions in the lives of the people are being funded from his personal resources.

Sanda said Ndarani was not on the payroll of any government, yet he had continued to commit substantial personal resources to supporting students, communities and vulnerable members of the society.

According to him, such commitment demonstrated that Ndarani’s motivation is driven by genuine concern for the people rather than the expectation of government resources.

“If given the opportunity to represent the zone or the state, with what he has already achieved using his personal resources, I believe he will be a good representative,” Sanda said.

He also underscored Ndarani’s interventions in education, water supply, community infrastructure and humanitarian support as strong indications of what he could achieve with access to public resources.

Sanda therefore urged youths, students and other stakeholders across the zone to remain united and support the aspiration, saying the future of the constituency depended on electing a representative with the capacity and willingness to serve.

The gathering ended with renewed assurances by the students and youths that they would continue to mobilise support for Ndarani’s senatorial aspiration, citing his consistent investment in education, youth development and community welfare as reasons for their loyalty.
