Sokoto South LGA Chairman, Hon. Ya’u Muhammad Danda Welcomes Dev’t Initiatives, Receives ‘Continuity Awareness’ Group

The Executive Chairman of Sokoto South Local Government Area, Hon. Ya’u Muhammad Mohammad Danda, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to all initiatives that promote progress in Sokoto State and support good governance.
Hon. Danda made the statement on Monday in Sokoto while receiving a delegation from the Sokoto State Continuity Awareness For Ahmed Aliyu, a grassroots mobilization group, at the Council Secretariat.
Our Correspondent reports that the the delegation was led by the group’s Chairman, Malam Nura Chiso.
Speaking during the courtesy visit, Malam Nura Chiso said the purpose of their visit was twofold: to pay homage to the Chairman and to formally introduce their organization.
He noted that the group had unanimously selected Hon. Danda as one of its patrons in recognition of his sterling leadership and influence as the Chief Executive of Sokoto South LGA.
“We are here to inform you of the activities we have lined up to support the continuity of His Excellency, Gov. Ahmed Aliyu’s administration.
“We believe your guidance as a key stakeholder and patron will strengthen our efforts,” Chiso stated.
Outlining the group’s plans, Chiso announced that the organization will commence a weekly special prayer session beginning this Friday at the Fakon Idi Central Eid Prayer Mosque.
“The prayers will be held every Friday to seek divine intervention for the success of the current administration, sustained peace and security in Sokoto State, and the overall stability of Nigeria.
“Our first step is to commit this government and our state to God. We will gather every Friday to pray for progress, unity, and the peaceful re-election of Gov. Ahmed Aliyu,”he added.
In his response, Hon. Ya’u Danda commended the group for its foresight and dedication to the development of Sokoto State.
He assured them of his support and pledged that Sokoto South LGA remains open to all initiatives that will bring tangible progress to the people.
“We welcome everything that will bring development to this government and to Sokoto State as a whole.
“Our doors are open for collaboration that promotes peace, unity, and good governance,” the Chairman said.
The meeting ended with a call for sustained partnership between political leaders, community groups, and citizens to advance the collective interest of Sokoto State.
