NAHCON N/West Commissioner monitors preparations for the airlift of 1st batch of Sokoto intending pilgrims

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) North-West Commissioner, Sheikh Muhammad bn Othman, has monitored the preparations for the airlift of the first batch of intending pilgrims from Sokoto State for the 2026 Hajj exercise.
The Commissioner carried out the monitoring exercise at the Sultan Abubakar III International Airport, Sokoto, where he inspected the level of preparedness and arrangements put in place for the smooth transportation of pilgrims to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the visit, Sheikh Muhammad bn Othman expressed satisfaction with the arrangements made by the Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency and urged officials involved in the operation to maintain professionalism, dedication, and commitment in order to ensure a hitch-free airlift exercise.
He also advised intending pilgrims to remain law-abiding, cooperate with officials, and strictly adhere to all Hajj guidelines and regulations throughout the exercise.
The monitoring exercise forms part of NAHCON’s commitment to ensuring efficient coordination and successful conduct of the 2026 Hajj operations across the country.
