Baraden Wamakko appoints Mahdi Aliyu Wamakko as pioneer Yariman Wamakko

The Baraden Wamakko and District Head of Wamakko, Wamakko Local Government Area of Sokoto State, Alhaji Ahmad Barade, has conferred the traditional title of Yariman Wamakko on Alhaji Mahdi Aliyu Wamakko.
This was contained in a letter Alhaji Ahmad Barade personally signed, dated April 17th, 2026.
It said, “On behalf of this blessed Emirate, I am pleased to write this letter to inform you that this Emirate has conferred on you the title of Yariman Wamakko.
“This was done in recognition of your dedication, hard work, and your efforts in bringing development to this area of ours, along with your loyalty to this Emirate.
“We hope that you will continue to be loyal and bring development to this Emirate as you have always done.
“We pray to Allah to grant us health, peaceful coexistence, and a good ending.”
In a congratulatory message issued on Thursday, the Senior Legislative Aide (SLA), to Sen. Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, Alhaji Aminu Dalhatu said: “My heartfelt congratulations to u on this auspicious occasion of ur turbaning as the Yariman Wamakko.
“This well-deserved honor is a testament to your character, leadership, and unwavering commitment to the values and traditions of our people.
“It reflects the confidence and respect the community has in your ability to uphold the dignity and responsibilities that come with this revered title.
“May this new role bring you greater wisdom, strength, and success as you continue to serve and contribute meaningfully to the progress and unity of Wamakko and beyond.
“Wishing you a fulfilling and impactful reign. Congratulations once again.”
