Sokoto APC conducts successful Reps primaries amid huge consensuses

The All Progressives Congress (APC), Sokoto State chapter on Saturday.successfully conducted its primary elections for its eleven House of Representatives candidates.
Our Correspondent in Sokoto reports that the exercise was however conducted across ten Federal Constituencies, only for Yabo /Shagari Federal Constituency where an election was conducted between two aspirants.
Our Correspondent who monitored the exercise across the eleven Federal Constituencies further reports that it was hitch-free across the state.
It was further learnt that in ten out of the eleven Federal Constituencies, affirmations were made in line with the provisions of the Electoral Act and the Constitution of the nation.
Reports from across the state showed that the primary elections were monitored by the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies and other relevant agencies.
In Wurno town where the exercise was held for the Rabah and Wurno Federal Constituency, the candidacy of the incumbent member, Arch. Ibrahim Al-Mustapha Rabah, was confirmed by the elated delegates through affirmation.
The exercise was supervised by a Committee deployed to the area by the state chapter of the APC, Barrister Nasir Muhammad Binji, the State’s Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice.
He expressed delight with the peaceful conduct of the delegates, saying, “I hereby affirm the nomination of Arch. Ibrahim Al-Mustapha Rabah for the Rabah/Wurno Federal Constituency, 2027
“This is because he is the sole aspirant who filled the Expression of Interest as well as Nomination Form.
“He was also duly screened and cleared by the APC,so, he is hereby affirmed as the sole Candidate.”
Several other speakers at the epochal event expressed delight with the outcome of the exercise, lauding Arch. Ibrahim Al-Mustapha Rabah for ensuring quality representation of the Constituency at the House of Representatives.
In his acceptance speech, the Lawmaker said he lacked words to show gratitude to his.constituents, promising to continue to do more to take the Federal Constituency and Sokoto State in general to greater heights.
