Sokoto ADC affirms National, State Assemblies’  candidates

The African Democratic Congress (ADC), Sokoto State chapter on Thursday affirmed its National and State Assemblies’ candidates for the forthcoming 2027 elections
Our Correspondent in Sokoto reports that the delegates affirmed a serving member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Mani Maishonko Katami as the candidate for Sokoto North Senatorial District.
Similarly, former Nigeria’s Ambassador to Jordan, Amb. Faruk Malami Yabo was affirmed as the candidate for Sokoto South Senatorial District.
In the same vein, the delegates affirmed a former Chairman of Rabah Local Government Area as the candidate for Sokoto East Senatorial District.
In the same vein, House of Representatives candidates were affirmed for the eleven Federal Constituencies in the state, while  candidates were affirmed for the thirty State Assembly Constituencies in the state.
In their separate acceptance speeches the trio of the Senatorial Candidates, commended the leader of the party in the state, Sen. Aminu Wazirin Tambuwal, other leaders and members for reposing tremendous confidence in them.
While pledging to live above board, the candidates expressed optimism that they will emerge victorious during the forthcoming polls.
They also pledged to improve security and the general living conditions of the people of the state in line with the manifesto of the ADC.
Our Correspondent also recalls that the party had since chosen a former Deputy Governor in the state, Alhaji Manir Dan-Iya as its consensus governorship candidate.
