Breaking: Sultan declares Tuesday as 1st Muharram, 1448 AH

Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, the Sultan of Sokoto and President – General
Nigeria Supreme, Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), has
declared Tuesday 16th June, 2026, as the first day of Muharram 1448AH.
This was contained in a statement issued on Monday night in Sokoto by Prof. Sámbo Wali Junaidu, Wazirin Sokoto,
Chairman, Advisory Committee on Religious Affairs, Sultanate Council, Sokoto.
