Governor Uba Sani on Saturday evening paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Ummulkhairi in Maraban Jos. The governor commiserated with her husband, Malam Aliyu, other family members, and close associates over the loss.

During the visit, Gov Uba Sani promised to support Malam Aliyu and fully sponsor the children left behind by Ummulkhairi “until they are grown.” He assured the family of the state government’s commitment to their welfare.

Senator Uba Sani vowed to ensure that the 41 persons already arrested and arraigned in court are punished, along with others yet to be apprehended. “I will ensure that justice is served on all those involved in her killing,” he said.

The governor also pledged to deepen investigations into police officers alleged to have been complicit in the murder of the deceased. He stressed that no one found culpable, regardless of status, would be shielded from prosecution.
