SUBEB Executive Chairman Warns Against Interference in Official Duties

The Executive Chairman of the Sokoto State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Alhaji Umar Nagwari Tambuwal, has cautioned against interference in the responsibilities of School Services Officers by unauthorized individuals.
The Chairman made this known while receiving 23 members of the Forum of School Services Officers who paid him a courtesy visit in his office regarding matters affecting their official duties.
The delegation, led by the Chairman of the Forum Muktar Abubakar Shagari , stated that their visit was aimed at presenting some of the challenges affecting their work and seeking the intervention of the Board to enable them contribute effectively to the reforms and modern strategies being introduced by the SUBEB Chairman in support of Governor Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto’s agenda of improving education at all levels across the state.
The forum described Alhaji Umar Nagwari Tambuwal as a courageous, intelligent, and committed leader who is passionate about improving the standard of education among pupils in Sokoto State, particularly at the basic education level.
They also presented requests for modern working tools included iPhone tablets, motorcycles, and other teaching and learning materials to enhance school supervision and monitoring activities within their respective areas.
Responding, the Executive Chairman highlighted the efforts of Governor Ahmad Aliyu’s administration towards restoring the dignity of teaching, improving teachers’ welfare, providing conducive learning environments, supplying furniture, recruiting qualified teachers, organizing regular training programmes for teachers, as well as providing teaching and learning materials to schools in both urban and rural communities across the state.
Alhaji Umar Nagwari Tambuwal assured the delegation that the Board would provide them with the necessary working tools included iPhone tablets and motorcycles to strengthen school supervision and monitoring activities.
He further urged members of the forum to remain loyal and committed to all government policies and programmes, and to work harmoniously with the Education Secretaries of their respective LGEAs in order to achieve the desired success in the ongoing educational reforms in the state.
The SUBEB Chairman also reassured them of his continuous support for all stakeholders committed to the development of education across Sokoto State.
