Sokoto Hisbah arrests 17 suspects as it raids havens of immoralities

The Sokoto State Hisbah Board carried out a raid on Sunday, in several areas suspected of immoral activities, during which it successfully arrested 17 suspects.
Reports indicated that the raid took place in the areas of Minannata, Rijiyar Shehu, Majema, Sokoto Cinemq and the Mabera district, all within Sokoto metropolis.
The acting Commander of the Sokoto State Hisbah Board and Director of Da’awah of the Board, Imam Sirajo Abubakar, led the operation under the initiative named “OPERATION TSAFTACE BIRNIN SHEHU.”
According to the Board, this action is part of its efforts to ensure cleanliness and good morals in society, and to curb activities that violate public decency and religious teachings.
The Board also reaffirmed its commitment to continue conducting such raids to ensure peace and order.
