Breaking: Gov. Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto has been successfully screened to re-contest in 2027

Gov. Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto of Sokoto State has been successfully screened to re-contest for the position of Governor of Sokoto State in the 2027 elections, God willing.
He was screened by the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), under the Chairmanship of the party’s National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, at the party’s national Headquarters in Abuja on Friday, May 8, 2027.
He said shortly after the epochal event, “Alhamdulillah, I successfully completed the gubernatorial screening exercise of our great party, the All Progressives Congress, ahead of the 2027 Governorship Election in Sokoto State.
“I sincerely appreciate the leadership of the party under the able chairmanship of Nentawe Yilwatda for the confidence reposed in me, as well as the overwhelming support, prayers and goodwill of the good people of Sokoto State.
“By the will of Allah, we shall continue steadfastly on the path of purposeful leadership, sustainable development and shared prosperity for our dear state.”
