TYOYER ENGAGES BUA CEMENT TO STRENGTHEN PARTNERSHIP WITH NYSC

As part of his familiarization tour to meet key stakeholders of the NYSC scheme in Sokoto State, the State Coordinator, Mr. Tyoyer Gabriel Ter, visited BUA Cement Plc to discuss ways of strengthening the existing cordial relationship between the company and the scheme.

In his remarks, Mr. Tyoyer expressed appreciation for the warm reception accorded to him and for granting him the audience.

He described the company as a vital stakeholder and one of the leading employers of Corps Members
in the state.

The Coordinator noted that since assuming office, he has received positive reports regarding the company’s treatment of Corps Members, highlighting that they are treated with dignity and respect, an effort he described as highly commendable.

He used the opportunity to appeal to the management of the company to support additional areas that would enhance the activities of the NYSC in the state.

While acknowledging past contributions,
Such as donations of cement, chairs, and financial support to previous administration, he requested further assistance.

These include additional donations of chairs and approval for direct purchase of cement by the NYSC whenever needed for project execution.

In their response, the Corporate Manager, Alhaji Sada Suleiman, and the Director of Human Resource Management, Abdulrasheed Bode, assured the State Coordinator of the company’s continued support.

They stated that his requests would be judiciously carefully considered.

On the welfare of Corps Members, the management pledged to improve their support, adding that the company has a policy of retaining outstanding Corps Members who distinguish themselves during their service year.
