2026 Hajj: Sokoto Governor approves 13-man State Hajj Delegation

Sokoto, has approved the setting up of a 13-man 2026 Sokoto State Hajj Delegation.
Our Correspondent reports that the committee has Alhaji Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi, Katukan Sokoto, Minister, Labour and Employment, as
Amirul Hajj
This was contained in a statement signed by Abubakar Bawa, Director-General, Media and Publicity, issued in Sokoto on Friday.
According to the statement, the other members of the delegation are: Hon. Sodangi Shua’aibu Achida, Grand khadi,
Justice Amina Modi Yabo, Hon. Aminu Gidado and Hon. Nasiru Aliyu Dantsoho.
Others are:  Hon. Muhammad Bello Sifawa, Secretary to the State Government,  Hon. Aminu H Dikko, Chief of Staff, Alhaji Rilwanu Bello,
Magijin Rafin Sokoto, Sheikh Yahaya Na-Malam Boyi, Sarkin Malamai and Prof. Malami Muhammad Maishanu
The rest include:  Hon. Maryam Sulaiman,  Alhaji Bello Bulaki
Secretary and  Alhaji Hussaini N. Umar
The statement said that the terms of reference of the committee include:
To plan, coordinate, supervise, and ensure a successful 2026 –
operations in Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.
The delegation is also to ensure appropriate arrangement for accommodation, feeding.
and general welfare of the State’s pilgrims.
” To perform any other duties necessary to ensure the success of the
2026 Hajj Operations,” the statement concluded.
