Police lose 2 officers in gun duel with bandits in Sokoto

A Police Inspector and a Constable on Sunday lost their lives in a gun duel with bandits in Tureta Local Government Area of Sokoto State, the spokesperson of the State Police Police Command, DSP Ahmad Rufai, has confirmed.
He gave the names of the deceased officers as Inspector Redmo Ijenwa and
Pc Nura Muhammad,
Rufai told our Correspondent in Sokoto on Monday in a telephone interview that PC Abdulrazak Muhammad sustained bullet wound in the attack.
He said that the injured officer was currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital in the state.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) stated the relatives of late Nura Muhammad were in the process of collecting his remains for burial according to Islamic rites in his hometown in Kebbe Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
According to him, the remains of late Inspector Redmo Ijenwa had been deposited at a morgue in an undisclosed hospital in Sokoto.
