The residents of the Kaduna Road Area in Sokoto metropolis have commended Sen. Aliyu Magatakarda, representing Sokoto North Senatorial District for the donation of an electricity transformer to their community.
This was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday in Sokoto by Bashar Abubakar, Special Assistant, Media and Publicity, to Sen. Wamakko, who was also a former Governor of the state.
The gesture came after community leaders, led by an elder statesman, Alhaji Ahmad Tahir, appealed to the Senator for an urgent intervention over the prolonged power outage affecting the area.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, a retired Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Isah Kebbe, thanked Sen. Wamakko for the timely support, noting that the lack of electricity had truncated businesses and other daily activities.
The residents described the donation as a major relief and commended the Senator’s continued commitment to addressing the needs of the people.
