Sokoto State Hisbah Board Arrests 26 People in Raid

The Sokoto State Hisbah Board recorded a major success in a special raid it carried out on Thursday, June 11, 2026, arresting twenty-six (26) men and women in different parts of Sokoto metropolis.
The raid took place in five locations: Nakasari Area, Hubbare, Offa Road, Sokoto Main Motor Park, and Giginya Hotel.
According to the Commission, the operation was conducted under the leadership of the Sokoto State Hisbah Commander General, Malam Usman Abdullahi Jatau, as part of “Operation Tsaftace Birnin Shehu”, aimed at upholding morality, maintaining peace, and cleansing the society of acts that violate the law and good conduct.
The Commission stated that it will continue to carry out such raids to ensure compliance with law and order across Sokoto State.
