Sokoto Hisbah Arrests 19, Shuts 2 Hotels in Fresh Raid

The Sokoto State Hisbah Commission carried out another raid in the Kwannawa area on Friday, arresting 19 men and women over alleged immoral activities and shutting down two hotels for violating its regulations.
The operation was conducted under “Operation Tsaftace Birnin Shehu”, aimed at maintaining cleanliness, morality, and adherence to the law in Sokoto city and its environs.
Leading the raid was the State Hisbah Commandant, Malam Usman Abdullahi Jatau, accompanied by senior officials including Director of Da’awah Imam Sirajo Abubakar, Commission member Mal. Abdurrahman Mai Tawul, AC Hassan Mu’azu, and AC Habibah Muhammad.
The Commission said it will continue with similar operations to ensure compliance with the law and protect public morals across the state.
