SEN. BAGUDU CONGRATULATES GOV. NASIR IDRIS ON EMERGENCE AS KEBBI APC GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE FOR 2027

The Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, has congratulated the Governor of Kebbi State, Nasir Idris, popularly known as Kauran Gwandu, on his emergence as the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2027 general elections.
Senator Bagudu, who is also the immediate past Governor of Kebbi State, gave the commendation at the Presidential Banquet Hall, Birnin Kebbi, during a luncheon organised to celebrate the successful and hitch-free affirmation exercise conducted by the APC in Kebbi State.
The Minister described the affirmation exercise as a clear demonstration of unity, strength, and internal democracy within the APC, noting that the process reflected the collective confidence reposed in Governor Nasir Idris by party leaders, stakeholders, and members across the state.
“Today, we have gathered once again in our commitment to democracy to fulfil one of the important processes required by our democratic system,” Senator Bagudu declared.
He stated that the affirmation process was in line with the directive and vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for peaceful, transparent, and inclusive party processes capable of strengthening democracy and consolidating the APC as a formidable political platform in Nigeria.
Senator Bagudu applauded Governor Nasir Idris for providing purposeful leadership and promoting inclusiveness within the party, which, according to him, has continued to attract more supporters and strengthen the dominance of the APC in Kebbi State.
The Minister further observed that the achievements recorded by the Idris administration in critical sectors such as infrastructure, education, agriculture, healthcare, and human capital development had continued to earn the Governor widespread acceptance and support among the people of the state.
He also commended the leadership of the APC in Kebbi State under the State Chairman, Abubakar Kana Zuru, as well as party members, security agencies, and media organisations for their contributions toward the peaceful and successful conduct of the party’s affirmation process.
Senator Bagudu expressed confidence that the unity, cooperation, and mutual understanding being enjoyed within the party would further position the APC for greater electoral victories in future elections, including overwhelming support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Nasir Idris in 2027.
He called on party members and supporters to sustain the spirit of unity, loyalty, and commitment in order to ensure the continued progress, peace, and development of Kebbi State and Nigeria as a whole.
