Sen. Wamakko Urges Hajj 2026 Publicity Committee to Justify Confidence Reposed in Them

Sokoto, Nigeria – Senator Dr. Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko has admonished members of the Sokoto State 2026 Hajj Publicity and Media Committee to uphold the confidence reposed in them by ensuring effective and adequate publicity for the forthcoming Hajj exercise.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) leader in the state made the call when the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Sokoto State Government, Alhaji Abubakar Bawa, alongside the Managing Director of Sokoto State Media Corporation, Alhaji Labaran Lumu Dundaye, the General Manager of ALU TV, Alhaji Bashar Abubakar, and members of the 2026 Hajj Publicity and Media Committee paid him a thank-you visit.
Senator Wamakko emphasized that it is the responsibility of the committee to educate and enlighten intending pilgrims. He urged them to work diligently to ensure that all pilgrims from the state are well-informed about the Hajj rites as well as new policies introduced by the Saudi authorities.
Earlier, the Director General, Media and Publicity, Alhaji Abubakar Bawa, informed the Senator that the committee members were selected based on merit, in line with given directives. He assured that the committee would discharge its duties with professionalism and diligence.
The five-member committee has Muhammad Umar as Chairman and Faruku Umar as Secretary.
