Gov. Aliyu Approves Verification, Salary Payment For 3,100 Newly Recruited Civil Servants

Gov. Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto has approved a committee for the verification and payment of salaries to 3,100 newly recruited civil servants in the state.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Director-General, Media and Publicity, Government House, Sokoto, Abubakar Bawa.
According to the statement, the Head of Service, Abdulkadir Ahmad will serve as Chairman of the committee while the Senior Special Assistant on Legal and Administration, Gandi Umar Muhammad will serve as Co-Chairman.
Members of the committee include representatives of the Civil Service Commission, State Auditor-General, Local Government Auditor-General, Teachers Service Board and the Nigeria Labour Congress.
Other members are Abdulmajid Sidi of the Ministry of Finance, Shehu Abdullahi, Director of Administration and General Services, while Junaidu U. Junaidu, Deputy Accountant-General, will serve as Secretary.
The committee is mandated to verify that staff posted to various Ministries, Departments and Agencies have reported for duty and to ensure the payment of salaries to all newly recruited staff who have reported for duty at their respective MDAs.
The committee is given four weeks to submit its report.
