Sokoto Arabic, Islamic Educ. Board ES queries 2 VPs for negligence on conduct of Mock exam

The Executive Secretary of the.Sokoto state Arabic and Islamic Education Board, Alhaji Ahmad Baba Altine, has directed the Qality Assurance Department to issue query letters to two Vice Principals of Government Girls College Islamic Science Secondary School, Shuni.
He gave the directive on Tuesday when he visited the school to monitor the cunduct of this year’s Mock examination.
Ahmad Baba Altine said they were queried as a result of their negligence to make adequate arrangements for their students to write the examination.
The Executive Secretary said as of the time of his visit, no any student was met on sit writing the examination, saying, “when we arrived the school, only some teachers and a Vice Principal were seen busy trying to ensure the students were gathered in their classes to write the examination.”
Ahmad Baba Altine, who described the attitude as a sabotage to the effort of the state government on education, said the Board under his stewardship would not condone such laxity.
Other Schools visited included: Hafsatu Ahmadu Bello Model Arabic Secondary School,
Modibbo Adama Arabic Secondary School Maruda,
Govt Girls’ Collage Islamic Science Secondary School, Shuni,
Govt. Girls’ Day Arabic Secondary School, Sabon Birni Area and
Govt Girls’ Day Arabic Secondary School , Yar Akija.
In all the Schools visited, Baba Altine expressed delight with the arrangements made by the management of the Schools, noting that the inspection visit would be sustained.
