Sokoto ADC Deputy Governorship Candidate, Hon. Bello Isa Ambarura, Says Party is Ready for 2027

The Deputy Governorship Candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Sokoto State, Hon. Bello Isa Ambarura, has said the party is fully prepared and ready to contest the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
He addressed newsmen on Wednesday in Sokoto shortly after a thank-you visit to the State Headquarters of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Hon. Ambarura, who currently serves as a member of the House of Representatives representing Gwadabawa and Illela Federal Constituency on the platform of ADC, said the visit was to express appreciation to the party leadership and members for selecting him as the flag bearer.
He said,” It was to thank them for choosing me out of thousands to be the flag bearer or the deputy governorship candidate of ADC in Sokoto State.
“I thank them for the support and I also solicit for the cooperation.”
Speaking on what informed his selection, he attributed it to merit and over three decades of public service.
“Of course, the party has considered merit. All of you know that I have been in the state for over 35 years, and I have rendered a lot of services, from the Clerk up to the Permanent Secretary.
“I was once a Permanent Secretary of the State Pilgrim Welfare Agency and I served diligently.
” I also served as a member of the State.House of Assembly, and now I am serving as a member of the House of Representatives, representing Gwadabawa and Illela Federal Constituency. That is the criteria,” Ambarura stated.
With about six months to the election, the ADC candidate said the party is ready to challenge the APC and other parties.
“We just have like six months to the election now. We are ready. That is all,” he said.
Hon. Ambarura appealed to all the ADC members across the 23 Local Government Areas of the state to remain united and support the party.
“My appeal to ADC members across Sokoto is to support the party. Support the pledge,” he said.
On expectations for the election, he said: “That is the will of Allah. We are ready to accept the will of Allah.
“We are ready to participate actively and also pray to Almighty Allah to give us success.”
The members of the party and officials at the state secretariat had received the candidate and described the visit as a demonstration of commitment ahead of the polls.
