Distinguished media executives, advertising practitioners, representatives of corporate organisations, development partners, guests, ladies and gentlemen.
Good day.
It is a great honour and privilege to address this distinguished gathering on behalf of the management and staff of ALU Media Group.
I sincerely appreciate the organisers of this media parley for providing us with this valuable opportunity to introduce our organisation, share our vision and explore mutually beneficial relationships with advertising agencies, corporate bodies, content producers and other stakeholders in Nigeria’s media industry.
About ALU Media Group
ALU Media Group is an emerging multimedia organisation committed to informing, educating and entertaining Nigerians through responsible, professional and people-oriented broadcasting.
The Group comprises:
– ALU TV Nigeria, our television broadcasting platform;
– ALU Ya Gode FM, based in Sokoto State; and
– Rauda FM, based in Abuja.
Together, these platforms enable us to reach audiences through television, radio and digital media while delivering content in English, Hausa and other Nigerian languages where necessary.
Our operations are founded on professionalism, credibility, inclusiveness, cultural sensitivity and service to society. We believe that broadcasting should not only entertain but should also promote public enlightenment, national unity, peaceful coexistence and sustainable development.
ALU TV Nigeria
ALU TV Nigeria is a free-to-air television station serving audiences within and beyond Northern Nigeria. The station is available through satellite platforms, including NigComSat and Eutelsat, as well as the FreeTV digital terrestrial platform.
This distribution gives viewers access to our programmes without the burden of expensive monthly subscriptions and provides advertisers with an opportunity to reach a wide and diverse audience.
Our programming includes:
– News and current affairs;
– Political and economic programmes;
– Documentaries and special reports;
– Religious and educational programmes;
– Agriculture and rural development;
– Health and public enlightenment;
– Sports and entertainment;
– Youth and women’s programmes;
– Cultural and traditional programmes;
– Business and commercial programmes; and
– Live coverage of major public and private events.
Our flagship news bulletin, ALU TV News at 8:30 p.m., provides timely reports on developments across Sokoto State, Northern Nigeria and the country.
We place particular emphasis on issues affecting ordinary citizens, including education, healthcare, security, agriculture, infrastructure, governance, commerce and community development.
Our Radio Platforms
ALU Ya Gode FM, Sokoto, serves listeners with news, public affairs, religious programmes, entertainment and community-based content. Its programmes reflect the social, cultural and economic interests of the people, especially those within Sokoto State and neighbouring communities.
Rauda FM, Abuja, strengthens the Group’s presence in the Federal Capital Territory and provides another platform for reaching policymakers, government institutions, businesses, development organisations and residents of Abuja and surrounding areas.
Our combined television and radio operations give advertisers and partners the flexibility to develop integrated campaigns across multiple platforms.
Our Audience and Market Strength
Northern Nigeria represents one of the country’s largest and fastest-growing consumer markets. It has a large population, expanding commercial activities and significant opportunities in agriculture, telecommunications, banking, education, transportation, healthcare and consumer goods.
However, reaching this market effectively requires more than merely placing advertisements. It requires a media organisation that understands the language, culture, behaviour and aspirations of the audience.
This is one of the major strengths of ALU Media Group.
Our knowledge of local communities enables us to present commercial and public-interest messages in a culturally appropriate and easily understandable manner. We help organisations communicate with audiences in both English and Hausa, thereby improving the reach, acceptance and effectiveness of their campaigns.
Advertising and Commercial Opportunities
ALU Media Group offers various advertising and promotional opportunities, including:
– Television and radio commercials;
– Programme sponsorship;
– News bulletin sponsorship;
– Special programme production;

– Documentary production;
– Public-service announcements;

– Integrated television, radio and digital campaigns.

These programmes may focus on health, education, agriculture, financial inclusion, peacebuilding, environmental protection, women and youth empowerment, electoral education and other areas of public importance.
Opportunities for Partnership
We are here in Lagos because Lagos remains the centre of Nigeria’s advertising, marketing and corporate communications industry.
We seek stronger relationships with advertising agencies, media-buying companies, manufacturers, financial institutions, telecommunications companies, development organisations and content producers.
We invite partnerships in the following areas:
– Placement of commercial advertisements;
– Sponsorship of news and programmes;
– Production and syndication of quality content;
– Corporate campaigns targeting Northern audiences;
– Public enlightenment and behavioural-change campaigns;
– Live coverage of major events;
– Training and professional development;
– Technical collaboration; and
– Digital media expansion.
We are prepared to offer competitive advertising packages, flexible commercial arrangements and customised campaigns based on the specific needs and budgets of our partners.
Our Competitive Advantage
Our competitive advantage lies in our ability to combine national broadcasting standards with a strong understanding of local audiences.
We provide our partners with:
– Access to television, radio and digital platforms;
– Strong penetration within Hausa-speaking communities;
– Content delivery in both English and Hausa;
– Professional and culturally sensitive programme production;
– Flexible advertising and sponsorship packages;
– Coverage of urban and grassroots communities;
– Experienced broadcasters, reporters and production personnel; and
– A commitment to accountability and value for money.
We understand that advertisers require measurable value. We are therefore committed to proper scheduling, transmission monitoring, evidence of performance and regular communication with our clients and their agencies.
Editorial Responsibility
While pursuing commercial growth, ALU Media Group remains committed to responsible journalism and professional broadcasting.
We recognise the media’s responsibility to society and will continue to uphold accuracy, fairness, balance, decency and respect for Nigeria’s cultural and religious diversity.
We are determined to build a trusted media institution where commercial interests and editorial responsibility complement each other without compromising professional standards.
Our Vision for the Future
Our vision is to develop ALU Media Group into a leading multimedia organisation with a strong national presence and a reputation for credible journalism, quality programming and effective commercial communication.
We intend to strengthen our transmission capacity, expand our audience, improve our digital platforms, invest in modern production equipment and continually train our personnel.
We also plan to deepen our relationships with advertising agencies and corporate organisations in Lagos and other major commercial centres across Nigeria.
Conclusion
Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, ALU Media Group is ready for business, collaboration and long-term partnerships.
We offer more than airtime. We offer access to communities, an understanding of the Northern market and the professional capacity to communicate effectively with millions of potential consumers.
We invite advertisers, agencies, corporate organisations and development partners to work with us in taking their products, services and messages to a broader and more diverse audience.
