NIPR Sokoto to Hold Statewide Roadshow for WPRF Abuja 2026

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Sokoto State Chapter, will on Saturday hold a statewide roadshow in Sokoto as part of nationwide mobilisation for the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) Abuja 2026.
The Chapter said in a statement issued on Monday in Sokoto by its Public Relations Officer, Ms Elizabeth Ephraim, that the Caliphate Roadshow is aimed at creating greater awareness about Nigeria’s hosting of the global public relations and communication community.
According to the statement, the roadshow is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, by 8:00 a.m. and will commence at the iconic Dogon Daji House, Sokoto.
It said the procession will proceed through Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital (UDUTH) Roundabout, Government House, Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) secretariat and Gusau Road, before terminating at the A. A. Shehu Arena, by NNPC Salame Road, where closing remarks will be delivered.
The chapter said the roadshow is part of a series of nationwide activities directed by the NIPR Council to sensitise Nigerians on the importance of WPRF Abuja 2026 and Nigeria’s role in hosting the prestigious global gathering.
“The WPRF Abuja 2026 is scheduled to hold in Nigeria from Nov. 15 to 21, 2026, and is expected to bring together more than 3,000 delegates from 126 countries.
“The forum is being organised by the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management, the African Public Relations Association (APRA) and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR),” the statement said.
It invited NIPR members, students of Mass Communication, journalists, youth groups, media practitioners, stakeholders and members of the general public to participate actively in the roadshow.
The Chapter expressed optimism for a strong turnout as Sokoto joins the nationwide campaign towards a successful WPRF Abuja 2026.
