Police arraign 6 youths in Sokoto for allegedly inciting disturbance

Police in Sokoto on Monday arraigned six youths at the Chief Magistrate Court, Tambuwal, for allegedly inciting disturbance.
This was disclosed to our Correspondent in Sokoto on Monday by the spokesperson of the Sokoto State Police Command, DSP Ahmed Rufai, in a telephone interview.
According to Rufai, the suspects are being charged for criminal conspiracy, inciting disturbance and mischief.
He said the suspects were arrested in the aftermath of a violent protest in Tambuwal town on Friday by some irate youths over alleged insecurity and high cost of living.
Rufai added that the suspects were also alleged to have razed down the Office of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Tambuwal town, as well as other public and private properties.
The spokesperson said the command would ensure that those found culpable face the full wrath of the law, and warned youths against taking the law into their hands.
