Sokoto Deputy Gov. attends funeral of late CJ’s wife

Sokoto State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Idris Mohammed Gobir, has attended the funeral prayer of Hajiya A’ishatu Muhammad Sifawa, the wife of the State Chief Judge, Justice Muhammad Sa’idu Sifawa.
This was contained in a statement issued by Garba Mohammed, Director, Press Affairs, Deputy Governor’s Office Sokoto State.
The funeral prayer, held at the Sultan Bello Mosque in Sokoto, was led by the Chief Imam of the mosque, Malam Bello Akwara.
Among the dignitaries who attended the funeral were the immediate past Governor of the state, Sen. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal; the Minister of Labour and Employment, Alhaji Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi and the Speaker of the Sokoto State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Tukur Bala Bodinga.
Others were the State Grand Khadi, Shu’aibu Sodangi Achida; the Waziri of Sokoto, Professor Sambo Junaidu; the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Muhammad Bello Sifawa; as well as Justices of the State High Court and Khadis.
Condoling the family shortly after the burial, the Deputy Governor described the death of Hajiya A’ishatu as a great loss not only to her family but also to Sokoto State.
The Deputy Governor who stood in for Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings, grant her Aljannatul Firdaus, and give her family the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Hajiya A’ishatu Muhammad Sifawa died at Nizzamiya Hospital following a prolonged illness at the age of 55.
She is survived by her husband, Justice Muhammad Sa’idu Sifawa, her aged mother, eight children, and ten grandchildren.
