MOTOR DEALERS REJECT BALA FULL TIME, AFFIRM BELLO SHUKURAH AS ACTING CHAIRMAN

The Association of Motor Dealers of Nigeria, Sokoto State Branch, has affirmed Alhaji Bello Shukurah as the duly and constitutionally recognized acting Chairman of the association in the state.
The association stated this in a press release signed by Alhaji Bello Shukurah and made available to newsmen on Thursday in Sokoto.
According to the statement, it has come to the knowledge of the association that one Bala Full Time has been parading himself as the acting Chairman of the association, which it described as false and untrue.
The association alleged that Bala Full Time took advantage of the presence of the acting Chairman, Bello Shukurah, during a visit to Government House, Sokoto, to arrange a photograph with an ulterior motive without the consent or knowledge of the acting Chairman and publicized it widely on social media, claiming he is the Acting Chairman.
For the avoidance of doubt, the statement stressed that Alhaji Bello Shukurah never entered into any formal arrangement or agreement indicating that he succumbed to Bala Full Time for the position.
It explained that going by the constitution of the association, upon the demise of the Chairman, Alhaji Nasiru Zagin Jarma, succession is by hierarchical position, picking the next most senior position holder to succeed him, and therefore Alhaji Bello Shukurah automatically became the acting Chairman.
The association expressed dismay that Bala Full Time falsely and illegally claims the chairmanship of the association.
It therefore categorically stated that Alhaji Bello Shukurah remains the legally and constitutionally recognized Acting Chairman of the Sokoto branch and not Bala Full Time.
The statement further warned that henceforth, Bala Full Time should desist from parading himself as Acting Chairman and from transmitting and fabricating false information against the person of Alhaji Bello Shukurah, failure of which may lead to legal action.
