Gov. Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto’s First Son Defends PhD at 26, Becomes One of Nigeria’s Youngest PhD Holders
Aliyu Ahmad Aliyu, the first son of Sokoto State Governor Ahmad Aliyu, has successfully defended his PhD in Energy Systems at Coventry University, United Kingdom, at the age of 26.
He completed his first degree at Coventry University at 20, earned his Master’s degree from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow at 21, and later returned to Coventry University for his doctoral studies.
His PhD research focuses on renewable energy adoption in Nigeria and the factors influencing sustainable energy transitions.
