Nami felicitates IBB at 85, applauds his enduring legacy

Former Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Alhaji Muhammad Nami, Majin Raba Nupe, Kofa Agaie, has congratulated former Military President, Gen. Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (rtd.), on the occasion of his 85th birthday.
Nami, in a goodwill message, described Babangida as a distinguished Nigerian elder statesman whose contributions to the nation’s political, economic and social development would continue to attract scholarly attention and public discourse.
He acknowledged the former military president’s remarkable place in Nigeria’s history, noting that his leadership at a critical period in the country’s development had left enduring footprints in several sectors of the national life.
According to him, Babangida’s vision, political experience and commitment to national unity have continued to shape conversations about Nigeria’s development and democratic evolution.
Nami said the 85th birthday anniversary provided an opportunity for Nigerians to celebrate the former president’s life of service, sacrifice and contribution to nation-building.
He particularly commended Babangida for his elder statesmanship and enduring commitment to the unity, peace and progress of Nigeria, describing him as a repository of invaluable national history and experience.
“On behalf of my family, associates and well-wishers, I warmly felicitate with His Excellency, Gen. Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (rtd.), on the occasion of his 85th birthday.
“At 85, your life remains a remarkable testament to service, leadership, resilience and commitment to the Nigerian project.
Your contributions to the development of our dear nation have earned you a significant place in Nigeria’s history.
“I pray that Almighty Allah continues to grant you good health, wisdom and strength, while preserving you for many more years in peace and fulfilment,” Nami said.
He also prayed for continued blessings upon Babangida’s family and urged Nigerians to draw from the former president’s wealth of experience and lifelong commitment to national development.
Majin Raba Nupe wished the former military president many more years of good health, peace and happiness as he celebrated the milestone birthday.
