Sokoto Deputy Governor Visits Kurawa Community Over Strange Illness Outbreak

Sokoto State Deputy Governor, Engr. Idris Muhammad Gobir, has led a state government’s delegation to Kurawa Town, Sabon Birni Local Government Area in response to an outbreak of a mysterious illness affecting the residents of the area.
Our Correspondent reliably learnt that he was accompanied on the visit by Hon. Saidu Delege, representing Sabon Birni South State Constituency in the State House of Assembly, among several other top government officials.
According to the Deputy Governor, the
the team went to the village to see firsthand the the strange affliction that had struck the community.
The residents had reported sudden onset symptoms that had overwhelmed the local clinic.
The delegation had arrived with emergency drugs, supplies, and a medical team to support local health workers.
The officials were said to have met with the patients and affected families to assess the scale of the outbreak.
The Deputy Governor assured the residents of the Kurawa community that the state would not abandon them.
The Ministry of Health is expected to deploy Epidemiologists to collect samples and identify the illness.
However, no official death toll has been confirmed although the residents were urged to report symptoms early and maintain hygiene.
The government pledged continued support until the outbreak is contained.
