Nigeria@66: Sokoto APC Chairman Felicitates Nigerians, Hails Tinubu, Aliyu, Wamakko
From Bashir Rabe Mani, Sokoto
The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Sokoto State chapter, Alhaji Haruna Sarkin-Gobir Adiya, on behalf of the State Working Committee, all party leaders, members and supporters across the 23 Local Government Areas of the State, has felicitated Nigerians on the occasion of Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary.
In a goodwill message issued in Sokoto, Adiya felicitated with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Gov. Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, the APC Leader in the State and Distinguished Sen. representing Sokoto North Senatorial District, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, Sarkin Yamman Sokoto, the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General, (NSCIA), Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, and all Nigerians.
He said as Nigeria marks 66 years as an indivisible and sovereign nation, all citizens must thank Almighty Allah for sustaining the country’s unity, peace and resilience.
He said the anniversary is a reminder of the sacrifices of the nation’s founding fathers and the need for all Nigerians to remain patriotic, united and committed to building a greater Nigeria.
Adiya further noted with pride that under the purposeful leadership of Gov. Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, Sokoto State has witnessed remarkable progress in security, infrastructural development, education, healthcare delivery and grassroots governance, in line with the party’s manifesto.
He further commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his bold reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda and Gov. Ahmed Aliyu for his people-oriented leadership, as well as Sen. Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko for his fatherly guidance, unity of purpose and sustained support to the party.
Adiya again appealed to Nigerians to have renewed confidence in the incumbent APC governments at all levels, insisting that the APC prioritizes the wellbeing, comfort and security of all law-abiding citizens of the country.
The APC Chairman further noted that APC as the largest party in Africa would continue to ensure good governance and would never engage in any acts capable of truncating democracy.
On 2027, he maintained that APC remains the party to beat, urging Nigerians never to despair while they should never allow themselves to be dissuaded from voting for APC candidates at all levels during the forthcoming general elections.
According to Alhaji Haruna Sarkin-Gobir, doing so means patriotically opting for the consolidation of the myriad of giant strides so far achieved in Sokoto State and across Nigeria.
He, therefore, called on members of the party and all citizens to continue to support the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Federal Government and the 9-Point Smart Agenda of the Sokoto State Government and to sustain prayers for enduring peace, unity and socio-economic prosperity of Sokoto State and the nation at large.
