More Defections Rock ADC as ex-PDP Chairman, Sokoto North, Sanusi Mai Kyame Defefts to APC

More defections have continued to hit the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Sokoto State, with some of its prominent members defecting to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
A statement issued on Sunday by Abubakar Bawa, Director-General, Media and Publicity, Government House, Sokoto said that the latest is the former PDP Chairman of Sokoto North Local Government Area and a chieftain of the ADC, Alhaji Sanusi Mai Kyame.
Alhaji Sanusi Mai Kyame was received into the APC by the State APC Chairman, Alhaji Haruna Adiya, assisted by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, Alhaji Faruku Labbo, and other party officials.
Speaking shortly after his defection, Alhaji Sanusi said his decision to join the APC was motivated by the sterling leadership qualities of Governor Ahmed Aliyu and his respect for human dignity.
He also cited the massive transformation taking place across the state under the Ahmed Aliyu-led administration as another factor behind his decision to join the ruling APC.
Earlier, the State APC Chairman, Alhaji Haruna Adiya, commended Alhaji Sanusi Mai Kyame for what he described as a wise decision to join the APC, as well as his love for the state.
He assured Alhaji Sanusi that he would be carried along by the party, saying that the APC in the state is blessed with leaders who keep their promises and always put the interests of the people first in their decisions.
Before his defection to the APC, Alhaji Sanusi Mai Kyame was the former PDP Chairman of Sokoto North Local Government Area and a strong ADC stalwart in the local government.
