Zone 10 Police Command, Customs synergize to combat snuggling, other acts of economic sabotage

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) Gyogon Augustine Grimah,  in charge of Zone 10 Headquarters, Sokoto, on Thursday received the Assistant Controller General of Customs in charge of Zone B Headquarters, Kaduna, ACG Nsikan Patrick Umoh alongside her entourage for a working visit to Sokoto State.

The ACG was honoured at the quarter guard and warmly welcomed to the office of the AIG at the Zonal Headquarters.

The ACG briefly appreciates the AIG and the Nigeria police force towards enforcement of law and order and other sacrificial service they have rendered to the Nation.

The visit, which aligns with the Nigeria customs mandate, was aimed at strengthening inter-agency collaboration, enhancing border patrol safety, partnership, and sustaining the existing cordial relationship among critical stakeholders within the zone.

The deliberation in the meeting pinpoints strict compliance to the constitutional mandate of both Nigerian police force and Custom service, with emphasis on promoting Anti smuggling, trade facilitations and border security as well as improving emergency response operations across the zonal level in order to strengthen the National security.

The AIG pledges to support the Custom officers in strengthening border security at all time the need arises. He further reaffirmed continuous inter-agency synergy, partnership and collaborations in strengthening National security.

Zone 10 headquarters remains committed in promoting inter-agency collaboration and partnership to strengthen National security.
