JONAPWD, People With Disabilities Voice confer ‘Disability-Inclusive Media Excellence Award’ on ALU TV GM

The Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD), Sokoto State Chapter, in collaboration with the People with Disabilities Voice and Advocacy Initiative, has honoured the General Manager of ALU TV, Alhaji Bashar Abubakar Sarkin Hausawa, with the Disability-Inclusive Media Excellence Award.
The award was presented during a courtesy visit to ALU TV in recognition of his outstanding commitment to promoting the welfare, inclusion, and visibility of persons with disabilities through media advocacy.
Presenting the award, the Chairman of the association, Comrade Abubakar Mu’azu, commended ALU TV for consistently providing a platform for persons with disabilities to share their stories, raise awareness, and showcase their contributions to society.
In his remarks, Alhaji Bashar Abubakar expressed gratitude for the recognition and reaffirmed ALU TV’s commitment to supporting inclusiveness and amplifying the voices of persons with disabilities.
