Sokoto Gov’t lauds TCI’s technical support to health system

Sokoto State Government has lauded the efforts of TCI technical support to state health system.
The contributions of Challenge Initiative (TCI) technical assistance to family planning program has been described by state as means to broader health system support in the state that promoted accountability, ownership and evidence base resource allocation.

In his submission Director Community Health services and family planning of the Agency Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Kaura who represented the E S also chaired and facilitate the meeting acknowledged the support being enjoyed from their partners to succeed.
In his contribution at the meeting the TCI through its State Strategy Lead Dr Bello Kilgori briefed the meeting on the support they provided in the last three years.
Dr Bello Kilgori stated at the TCI 2030 inception meeting facilitated by SSPHCDA leadership held at the state emergency operation center (EOC) in Sokoto.
The meeting, which was supported by UNICEF, was attended by state, non state and partners provided opportunities for the reviews of previous TCI investments to the state family planning programme, achievements.
It was also aimed at introducing the new way providing technical assistance with slogan “Doing more with less” which emphasize on building on the already established strength to provide innovative and sustainable high impact interventions and practices.
The meeting witness remarkable participation and appreciation of TCI returns in support to the ongoing state lead health system transformation efforts.
In her remarks at the meeting the Adolescent Desk Officer of the agency Zarau Abubakar made presentation on the objectives and achievements of her unit towards success of the crusade.
Zarau Abubakar said her unit are always collaborating with relevant stakeholders to ensure accuracy and reservation of Data for state use and thanks all participants of the meeting and urged them to maintain tempo.
