The All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for Sokoto East Senatorial seat, Hon. Alhaji Umaru Ajiya Isa, has intensified his grassroots mobilization with strategic meetings in Gwadabawa and Wurno Local Government Areas on Wednesday.
The engagements formed part of Ajiyan Sokoto’s ongoing effort to strengthen party structures and consolidate support ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He described the move as a push to “erode the influence of rival parties, particularly the ADC, in Eastern Sokoto.”
During the consultative sessions, Ajiyan Isa met with APC ward executives, secretaries, and other key party stakeholders. Discussions focused on unity, internal cohesion, and mapping out campaign strategies for electoral success.
The meetings were chaired by the Campaign Coordinator and APC Deputy Chairman for Sokoto East Zone, Alhaji Muhammadu Musa Sarkin Alaru of Illela.
Members of Ajiyan Isa’s campaign committee and other political stakeholders were also in attendance.
Party officials at the events expressed confidence that the renewed outreach would further solidify APC’s base in the zone and boost voter turnout in 2027.
