Sokoto State Govt. Remodels Isah Mai Kware Jumu’at Mosque Under Gov. Ahmed Aliyu
Governor Ahmed Aliyu revealed that supporting religious institutions remains a top priority of his administration, with 91 metropolitan Juma’at mosques currently benefiting from monthly imprest and allowances for Imams and mosque officials.
The mosque, originally built as a cinema in 1971, has now been transformed into a modern place of worship after decades without renovation.
The Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, while commissioning the newly remodelled Isah Maikware Juma’at Mosque, urged worshippers to take full ownership of the project.
The Minister praised the Governor’s commitment to impactful and people-oriented projects, while also commending President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his leadership.
The event brought together top dignitaries, religious leaders, and members of the community, highlighting the importance of unity and faith in development.
Among them were the APC leader in sokoto state Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, APC chairman Sokoto State Haruna Adiya, speaker, SSG, Chief of staff government officials among others.
