Sokoto State Govt. commits to ensuring clean State Capital

Sokoto State Government says it is committed to ensuring a clean Sokoto metropolis at all times.

Sokoto State.
The State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Idris Mohammed Gobir, gave the assurance while handing over the keys of two pay loaders purchased by the state government to the Ministry of Environment.
Alhaji Idris Gobir said this was in recognition of the importance of a clean environment to the well-being of the people.
He expressed hope that with the provision of the vehicles, the metropolis will no longer witness heaps of refuse.
The Deputy Governor assured that the Ahmed Aliyu administration is poised to transform the state into various sectors.
Receiving the keys, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Environment, Alhaji Habib Isah, thanked the state government for the purchase of the vehicles, which he described as timely.
Alhaji Habib Isah reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to ensuring effective monitoring of the use of the vehicles.
In his remarks after receiving the keys from the Permanent Secretary, the Chief Executive Officer of the company saddled with the responsibility of ensuring a clean Sokoto metropolis, Biofil Technologies Nigeria Limited, Mr Taiwo Ibikunle, said pay loaders are very crucial to the success of refuse evacuation.
Mr Ibikunle assured that the company would not relent in its efforts to ensure that the Clean Sokoto Project is achieved.
