Sokoto PWA to begin state-wide Hajj Voter Education Enlightenment Campaign

The Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency says it will soon commence a comprehensive strategic education and enlightenment campaign across all the 23 Local Government Areas of the state.

Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency.
According to the statement, the campaign, which is aimed at adequately preparing intending pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj exercise, will be conducted jointly by the Agency’s Da’awah and Irshad Unit in collaboration with the State 2026 Hajj Preachers Committee.
It said, “The exercise is scheduled to commence on Thursday, 7th April 2026, and will cover critical aspects of Hajj rites, guidelines, and general conduct expected of pilgrims during the pilgrimage.
“All intending pilgrims are hereby mandated to attend these sessions unfailingly, as the programme is designed to equip them with the necessary knowledge to perform their religious obligations in accordance with Islamic teachings and laid-down regulations.
“The Agency urges full cooperation and active participation from all concerned to ensure a successful and spiritually fulfilling Hajj experience.”
