The Sokoto State Commissioner for Higher Education, Prof. Isa Muhammad Maishanu, has called on students preparing for the 2026 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination to conduct themselves as good ambassadors of the state.

He made this appeal while officially closing a one week Computer Based Test (CBT) practical training organized for Sokoto State indigenes ahead of the forthcoming examination.

Prof. Maishanu commended the administration of Dr. Ahmad Aliyu for its commitment to improving the education sector. He noted that the government’s 9 Point Smart Agenda has significantly impacted students through initiatives such as the provision of free JAMB registration forms, free CBT practical training, and refreshments for participants throughout the training period.

According to the Commissioner, these interventions demonstrate the government’s dedication to enhancing academic excellence and increasing access to educational opportunities for Sokoto State students.

Many of the participating candidates expressed appreciation for the initiative, describing the training as timely and beneficial. They commended the state government under the leadership of Dr. Ahmad Aliyu for the gesture and pledged to make the most of the opportunity.

The students also extended their gratitude to Prof. Isa Muhammad Maishanu, the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Kabir Garba Gobir, and the entire management and staff of the Ministry of Higher Education for their support and dedication to the success of the programme.
