Prof. Jerry Gana mourns Busu Village Head, describes loss a monumental

A former Minister of Information and prominent Nupe son, Jerry Gana, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of the Village Head of Busu in Busu District of Lavun Local Government Area of Niger State, Alhaji Adamu Zubairu, describing his passing as a monumental loss to the Nupe nation and Nigeria at large.

Gana, who holds the traditional title of Haske Nupe, said the death of the respected Baba Etsuyankpa Busu was a painful development not only for the people of Busu but also for the entire Nupe race, Niger State and the country as a whole.

In a condolence message, the elder statesman noted that the late Alhaji Adamu Zubairu was a detribalised leader who carried everyone along irrespective of ethnic, political or social differences.

According to him, the deceased traditional ruler distinguished himself through humility, wisdom and a strong commitment to the unity and progress of his people.

Gana said the late village head played an important role in strengthening communal harmony and preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Nupe people, adding that his leadership helped to promote peace and stability within the Busu community and beyond.

He described the late traditional ruler as a father figure whose counsel and leadership would be greatly missed by the community and the wider Nupe Kingdom.

The former minister urged the family of the deceased, the people of Busu District and the entire Lavun Local Government Area to take solace in the impactful life lived by the late village head and the enduring legacies he left behind.

Gana prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the late Alhaji Adamu Zubairu, grant him eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus and give his family and the entire community the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
