NAHCON Satisfied with Sokoto’s Preparedness for 2026 Hajj

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria has expressed satisfaction with the level of preparedness by the Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency ahead of the 2026 Hajj operations, particularly the facilities at the Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko Hajj Terminal.
This was contained in a statement signed by Faruku Umar, Head of Information and Communications, Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Sokoto State.
This commendation was made by the leader of the NAHCON inspection team, National Commissioner Sheikh Muhammad Bin Uthman, during an inspection visit to the Hajj Terminal and the Hajj Transit Camp.
The visit was aimed at conducting an on-the-spot assessment of arrangements for the airlift of intending pilgrims.
Sheikh Muhammad Bin Uthman described the agency’s preparations as commendable, noting that they are worthy of emulation and aligned with standard Hajj operational expectations.
He further praised the efforts of the Chairman of the Agency, Alhaji Aliyu Musa, the Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Ibrahim Umar (JJ), as well as the management and staff for their dedication and commitment to ensuring a successful Hajj exercise.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Alhaji Aliyu Musa, expressed appreciation for the visit by NAHCON.
He attributed the agency’s success to the continued support of the Sokoto State Governor, Dr. Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto, FCNA.
The delegation also inspected key facilities, including the Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko Hajj Terminal and the NAHCON Hajj Transit Camp.
