Usmanu Danfodiyo Varsity dismisses staff for uploading unqualified students for NYSC mobilization

The Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, has approved the outright dismissal or Malam Garba Ahmed from the institution’s service.
A statement issued on Friday by Ismaila Mohammed Yauri, Director, Information and Public Relations, said that the decision was taken at the 176th meeting of the Governing Council of the University held on Wednesday, 1st April, 2026.
The statement said, “Malam Garba was found guilty of illegally uploading unqualified students for NYSC mobilization.
” His dismissal takes effect from the date of the Council’s decision.
“Prior to his dismissal, he was a staff member of the Registry Department.
“The University Governing Council maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward acts of serious or gross misconduct.”
