2027: Sokoto Deputy ADC Youth leader, chieftain defect to APC

Ahead of the 2027 general polls, the Sokoto State Youths Leader of the African Democratic Congress ADC), Abubakar Attajiri and another chieftain of the same party, Alhaji Aminu Muhammad Gidan-Kanawa on Saturday detected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Our Correspondent in Sokoto who witnessed the brief ceremony said that the development was crucial just as the campaigns for the 2027 general elections had since commenced.
Speaking shortly the detection, the duo ascribed their action to the giant strides of Gov. Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto and the exemplary guidance of the APC leader in the state, Sen. Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko.
They also expressed their utmost confidence in the state leadership of the party, saying, ” they are steering APC to greatness.
“We are therefore hereby pledging to work tirelessly to ensure the success of all APC candidates at all levels during the forthcoming polls.
“We will also never leave any stone unturned in working to ensure the success of the people-centric laudable policies and programmes of Gov. Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other flag bearers of APC.”
Responding, the State APC Chairman, Alhaji Haruna Sarkin-Gobir Adiya, flanked by other leaders of the party, welcomed the duo into the fold of the APC.
Alhaji Haruna Sarkin-Gobir Adiya assured that they are now at par with all the older members of APC in the state.
The Sokoto State APC Chairman also maintained that APC in the state remains united, averring, ” we have no regrets being members of the party as well as entrusting leadership to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Gov. Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, Sen. Aliyu Magatakarda and other flag bearers of the party at all levels.
” By the special grace of God, APC candidates will emerge victorious at all levels during the forthcoming general elections.”
