Troops neutralize several terrorists, recover weapons, motorcycles in Sokoto

Troops of Sector 2 Operation FANSAN YAMMA  have successfully neutralized several terrorists, recovered  arms and motorcycles during  a fierce engagement with terrorists in Rabah Local Government Area of Sokoto State,

The troops, acting on credible intelligence on the movement of suspected terrorists attempting to move rustled livestock through the Maikujera general area of Rabah LGA, rapidly deployed to intercept the terrorists

During the response, the advancing forces encountered an attempted ambush along the route.

Demonstrating high tactical readiness, the troops immediately engaged the terrorists with superior firepower, breaking through the ambush to neutralise several terrorists and forcing the remaining  to retreat into the surrounding bush.

During  exploitation items recovered include AK-47 rifles , motorcycles used by the terrorists and  the rustled livestock.

The general area of Rabah and Maikujera is presently calm and stable. Troops remain firmly in position, maintaining high morale and conducting routine patrols to ensure the continued safety and security of local residents.
