Sen. Wamakko bags retired civil servants association’s award

The Sokoto State Retired Civil Servants Association (SOSRECSA) has conferred a Certificate of Membership on the Distinguished Sen. Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko as an Extraordinary Member and Grand Patron of the Association.
The certificate was issued in recognition of the Senator’s contributions to the development of Sokoto State and his support for the welfare of retired civil servants.
A statement issued on Sunday in Sokoto by his spokesperson, Bashar Abubakar, said that the decision was endorsed by the State Chairman of the Association, Balarabe Marafa Silame, and the State Secretary, Muhammad Garba Bazza.
The statement said that the honour underscored Sen. Wamakko’s enduring relationship with retired civil servants and his continued commitment to the well-being of the people of Sokoto State.
Our Correspondent in Sokoto reports that Sen. Wamakko, who represents Sokoto North Senatorial District, was also a former Governor of Sokoto State.
